The purpose of the Steering Group is to:

• Drive the wider membership
• Ensure strategic milestones are met
• Provide overall governance

This includes ensuring that the work of DCEP is compliant with matters relating to equal opportunities, health and safety, safeguarding and other legal frameworks such as GDPR.

The Steering Group does not have a statutory function or legal structure.

Seed funding is provided by Arts Connect who are also a partner of DCEP and a member of the Steering Group. Arts Connect report quarterly to Arts Council on the development of LCEPs within the region.

Membership of the Steering Group is reviewed regularly.
